2026.- Como parte de las acciones para fomentar la conciencia ambiental entre las nuevas generaciones, integrantes del Cabildo Infantil de Puerto Morelos participaron en el Taller de Educaci\u00f3n Ambiental &#8220;Las ra\u00edces del manglar&#8221;, organizado por el \u00c1rea de Protecci\u00f3n de Flora y Fauna Manglares de Puerto Morelos de la Comisi\u00f3n Nacional de \u00c1reas Naturales Protegidas (CONANP), en coordinaci\u00f3n con el Jard\u00edn Bot\u00e1nico Dr. Alfredo Barrera Mar\u00edn.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La actividad se realiz\u00f3 en el marco del D\u00eda Internacional de la Conservaci\u00f3n del Ecosistema de Manglares, que se conmemora cada 26 de julio, con el prop\u00f3sito de sensibilizar a ni\u00f1as y ni\u00f1os sobre la importancia de estos ecosistemas, considerados una barrera natural que protege a las comunidades costeras frente a huracanes, adem\u00e1s de ser refugio de una gran diversidad de flora y fauna.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Durante el taller, las integrantes del Cabildo Infantil conocieron la funci\u00f3n ecol\u00f3gica de los manglares, su papel en la protecci\u00f3n del litoral y las acciones que pueden emprender desde su entorno para contribuir a su conservaci\u00f3n, siendo el municipio con mayor extensi\u00f3n de este ecosistema protegido con una superficie oficial de 1,103 hect\u00e1reas por decreto federal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Con algunas manualidades, recorridos por la zona y desde la torre mirador aprendieron que los manglares son ecosistemas costeros formados por \u00e1rboles adaptados a aguas salinas y se clasifican principalmente por la especie de mangle que los domina, siendo los m\u00e1s comunes el mangle rojo, negro, blanco y botoncillo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las actividades se desarrollaron de manera gratuita en las instalaciones del Jard\u00edn Bot\u00e1nico Dr. Alfredo Barrera Mar\u00edn, como parte del programa conmemorativo que incluy\u00f3 una jornada de limpieza de manglar y el taller ambiental, organizado por la CONANP y la Brigada Comunitaria Vigilantes del Manglar, con el respaldo del Programa de Protecci\u00f3n y Restauraci\u00f3n de Ecosistemas y Especies Prioritarias, en colaboraci\u00f3n con ECOSUR, Akasha Scuba Diving y Blue Religion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Cabe destacar que acompa\u00f1aron a las ni\u00f1as del Cabildo Infantil Otilia Valenzuela, coordinadora de Educaci\u00f3n Ambiental de la Secretar\u00eda de Medio Ambiente, Bienestar Animal y Movilidad Sustentable, as\u00ed como la directora general del Instituto Municipal de Educaci\u00f3n, Sara Eugenia S\u00e1nchez Canul, quienes agradecieron la invitaci\u00f3n, ademas de refrendar la colaboraci\u00f3n entre instancias gubernamentales para impulsar la educaci\u00f3n ambiental y fortalecer la participaci\u00f3n de la ni\u00f1ez en iniciativas que promuevan el cuidado de los recursos naturales y la preservaci\u00f3n de los manglares, patrimonio ambiental invaluable del municipio.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:
