Chetumal, Quintana Roo, 8 de octubre de 2025.- La alcaldesa de Puerto Morelos, Blanca Merari Tziu Mu\u00f1oz, expres\u00f3 que en esta fecha tan significativa, en la que se conmemora el 51 aniversario de la creaci\u00f3n del Estado de Quintana Roo, autoridades y sociedad refrendan el compromiso de seguir adelante con la transformaci\u00f3n, un proceso que ha modificado las estructuras econ\u00f3micas, pol\u00edticas y sociales del pa\u00eds y de la entidad.<\/p>\n
Tras la Sesi\u00f3n Solemne del Congreso del Estado, en la que la gobernadora Mara Lezama destac\u00f3 los avances de Quintana Roo y los beneficios que la transformaci\u00f3n ha tra\u00eddo para impulsar el bienestar y la prosperidad compartida, Blanca Merari subray\u00f3 que la entidad es hoy un referente tur\u00edstico a nivel mundial.<\/p>\n
\u201cNuestra industria hotelera, cuyo desarrollo comenz\u00f3 pr\u00e1cticamente con la creaci\u00f3n del Estado, cuenta hoy con m\u00e1s de 135 mil habitaciones, la cifra m\u00e1s alta del pa\u00eds y del Caribe. En ella, miles de mujeres y hombres encuentran oportunidades de crecimiento laboral y bienestar para sus familias\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
La presidenta municipal, quien previamente tambi\u00e9n particip\u00f3 en el izamiento de la bandera de Quintana Roo, destac\u00f3 que la ocupaci\u00f3n hotelera anual es, en promedio, la m\u00e1s alta del pa\u00eds. Esto, dijo, se debe a que el Estado \u2014que durante mucho tiempo solo fue visto como una fuente de recursos naturales\u2014 hoy ofrece una combinaci\u00f3n \u00fanica de belleza natural, parques ecotur\u00edsticos, zonas arqueol\u00f3gicas y exclusivas plazas comerciales.<\/p>\n
\u201cPuerto Morelos contribuye con la opci\u00f3n de ser un destino de aventura por excelencia, ideal para esnorquelear en el Arrecife Mesoamericano y recorrer la Ruta de los Cenotes\u201d, a\u00f1adi\u00f3.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Blanca Merari resalt\u00f3 que este territorio, habitado originalmente por el pueblo maya, atrae cada a\u00f1o a miles de visitantes interesados en conocer su cultura, como lo demuestra el hecho de que Tulum es una de las tres zonas arqueol\u00f3gicas m\u00e1s visitadas de M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n
\u201cHoy, gracias a la Cuarta Transformaci\u00f3n, los descendientes de esa gran civilizaci\u00f3n comienzan a disfrutar los beneficios del turismo\u201d, manifest\u00f3.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Asimismo, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que los programas sociales del Gobierno de M\u00e9xico y del Estado brindan apoyo a ni\u00f1as, ni\u00f1os y j\u00f3venes para evitar que abandonen sus estudios, adem\u00e1s de beneficiar a adultos mayores, personas con discapacidad, madres y padres solteros, y productores agropecuarios.<\/p>\n
\u201cPensiones, becas y apoyos llegan directamente a la poblaci\u00f3n, sin intermediarios, reconociendo su esfuerzo y contribuyendo a la igualdad de oportunidades\u201d, sostuvo.<\/p>\n
Por \u00faltimo, asegur\u00f3 que gracias a estas pol\u00edticas y a obras emblem\u00e1ticas como el Tren Maya, Quintana Roo es hoy un Estado m\u00e1s justo, donde las y los habitantes son el centro de las decisiones y disfrutan de mayores niveles de bienestar y prosperidad.<\/p>\n
