Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, 25 de enero de 2024.\u2014 \u201cErradicar la violencia contra mujeres y ni\u00f1as por medio de estrategias implementadas desde la administraci\u00f3n municipal, es una tarea que hacemos todos los d\u00edas, pero la reforzamos cada 25 de mes, procurando llegar a m\u00e1s sectores de la poblaci\u00f3n\u201d, indic\u00f3 la directora del Instituto Municipal de la Mujer (IMM), Arlette Escudero Ord\u00f3\u00f1ez, en el marco del D\u00eda Naranja.<\/strong><\/p>\n

De acuerdo con la funcionaria, personal de la instituci\u00f3n ofreci\u00f3 pl\u00e1ticas a 200 alumnos de la secundaria \u201cMario Molina\u201d, en la cabecera municipal, a quienes se les explic\u00f3 el origen del D\u00eda Naranja, con el que se busca movilizar a la opini\u00f3n p\u00fablica y a los gobiernos para emprender acciones concretas para promover y fomentar la cultura de la no violencia.<\/p>\n

Arlette Escudero refiri\u00f3 que este d\u00eda forma parte de la Campa\u00f1a Naranja \u00daNETE, puesta en marcha en 2008 por la Organizaci\u00f3n de las Naciones Unidas (ONU). El color naranja representa el futuro brillante y optimista, libre de violencia contra las mujeres y ni\u00f1as.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Por su parte, la psic\u00f3loga Rosa Mar\u00eda Rodr\u00edguez D\u00edaz y la abogada Brenda Mart\u00ednez Ram\u00edrez expusieron a los estudiantes algunas cifras sobre el feminicidio, m\u00e1xima expresi\u00f3n de violencia contra la mujer. De acuerdo con la Comisi\u00f3n Econ\u00f3mica para Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL), cada a\u00f1o 64 mil mujeres y ni\u00f1as son asesinadas en el mundo y 14 de los 25 pa\u00edses con mayor n\u00famero de feminicidios forman parte de nuestro continente.<\/p>\n

Asimismo, resaltaron que, desafortunadamente, la violencia prevalece. De acuerdo con datos de ONU Mujeres M\u00e9xico, en nuestro pa\u00eds 43.9% de las mujeres ha enfrentado agresiones del esposo o pareja actual y 53.1% sufri\u00f3 violencia de alg\u00fan agresor distinto a su pareja, por lo que es importante identificar todo tipo de violencia e impulsar valores sanos de convivencia.<\/p>\n

Cabe destacar que, de igual forma, se llev\u00f3 una pl\u00e1tica a mujeres de Leona Vicario para darles a conocer los mecanismos de apoyo en caso de ser v\u00edctimas de alg\u00fan tipo de agresi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

En esos casos, el IMM y su personal acompa\u00f1ar\u00e1n a la v\u00edctima en el proceso de recuperaci\u00f3n y la auxiliar\u00e1n en la presentaci\u00f3n de la denuncia correspondiente, si as\u00ed lo decide.<\/p>\n
