Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, 29 de diciembre de 2023.- Con el objetivo de impulsar al deporte como herramienta de cambio y transformaci\u00f3n social, el gobierno de la presidenta municipal Blanca Merari Tziu Mu\u00f1oz se dio a la tarea, durante 2023, de dignificar los espacios deportivos de la demarcaci\u00f3n, como parte de las estrategias para fomentar la pr\u00e1ctica de diversas disciplinas y promover la activaci\u00f3n f\u00edsica.
\nAl respecto, el director general del Deporte, Miguel \u00c1ngel Chimal Uc, refiri\u00f3 que el personal de la dependencia a su cargo realiz\u00f3 una intensa labor durante todo el a\u00f1o, para contar con espacios de calidad para los deportistas portomorelenses, a fin de convertir al municipio en semillero de campeones.
\nDetall\u00f3 que se realizaron trabajos de pintura, mantenimiento de la malla cicl\u00f3nica y alumbrado p\u00fablico en espacios como las unidades deportivas Pescadores, \u201cIsaac Hamui\u201d y Zetina Gasca, en la cabecera municipal, y los espacios deportivos de la comunidad de Leona Vicario, entre ellos el domo del Cenote, el campo de beisbol y la cancha de futbol r\u00e1pido.
\nEl funcionario abund\u00f3 que desde marzo pasado se ha trabajado a profundidad para recuperar el terreno de juego del campo de beisbol Nicol\u00e1s \u201cZurdo\u201d Estrella, donde el Gobierno de M\u00e9xico invirti\u00f3 recursos, a trav\u00e9s de la Secretar\u00eda de Desarrollo Agrario, Territorial y Urbano (Sedatu), para acondicionarlo como un parque de pelota con todas las comodidades para la afici\u00f3n local.<\/p>\n

\u201cContamos ya con un gimnasio de box, construido tambi\u00e9n con recursos federales, en el que diariamente ni\u00f1os, ni\u00f1as y j\u00f3venes se entrenan con la ilusi\u00f3n de convertirse en representantes de Puerto Morelos en competencias nacionales e internacionales y referentes de este deporte que tantas satisfacciones le ha dado a los mexicanos\u201d, expuso.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Por otro lado, Miguel \u00c1ngel Chimal coment\u00f3 que este 2023 fue un a\u00f1o de intensa actividad, que ha consolidado a Puerto Morelos como un destino deportivo por excelencia, como la organizaci\u00f3n del Marat\u00f3n de Aguas Abiertas \u201cRuta del Arrecife\u201d, los tradicionales torneos de pesca, carreras atl\u00e9ticas, etc\u00e9tera.
\nAgreg\u00f3 que tambi\u00e9n se han organizado eventos como la Primera Copa Estatal de Futbol Infantil y Juvenil GAF 7, el Primer Torneo Municipal de Volibol de Playa, el Festival Deportivo \u201cPuerto Morelos Fest\u201d, actividades deportivas en conmemoraci\u00f3n del D\u00eda de la Marina, Torneo Rel\u00e1mpago de Rugby, Primer Festival Internacional Libre y M\u00e1ster de Beach Volleyball, Torneo Rel\u00e1mpago de Basquetbol, cursos de capacitaci\u00f3n a entrenadores y visor\u00edas a deportistas locales.<\/p>\n

\u201cPuerto Morelos cuenta ya con un equipo de Tercera Divisi\u00f3n profesional, con el club Zorros, que se convierte en algo aspiracional para nuestros jovencitos\u201d, refiri\u00f3.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Por \u00faltimo, Miguel \u00c1ngel Chimal indic\u00f3 que la proyecci\u00f3n para 2024 es consolidar las escuelas deportivas municipales de basquetbol, s\u00f3fbol y futbol que ya est\u00e1n en funcionamiento.<\/p>\n

\u201cLa instrucci\u00f3n de nuestra presidenta municipal Blanca Merari Tziu Mu\u00f1oz es redoblar esfuerzos para lograr aumentar el n\u00famero de deportistas que hacen uso de las instalaciones municipales, que en estos momentos es de aproximadamente 2,000 personas. Seguiremos trabajando de la mano con clubes, escuelas y asociaciones deportivas, adem\u00e1s de la iniciativa privada para alcanzar nuestros objetivos.
