Leona Vicario, Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, 2 de noviembre.\u2014 Al caer los \u00faltimos rayos del sol, la colorida procesi\u00f3n de las \u00e1nimas, acompa\u00f1ada por la t\u00edpica charanga, parte de unos de los costados del antiguo cementerio de esta delegaci\u00f3n, que en los \u00faltimos d\u00edas fue objeto de mantenimiento para recibir, en estos d\u00edas de muertos, a los deudos de quienes ah\u00ed descansan.
\nAl frente de la procesi\u00f3n, que recorre diversas calles de la delegaci\u00f3n, camina la presidenta municipal Blanca Merari Tziu Mu\u00f1oz, vestida con un colorido terno. La acompa\u00f1an regidores, servidores p\u00fablicos y vecinos, quienes con velas y veladoras entre las manos, iluminan el camino que las \u00e1nimas deben seguir\u00e1n para llegar a casa y disfrutar la comida y la bebida que prefer\u00edan en vida y hoy les preparan sus deudos.
\nCon ella caminan, adem\u00e1s, j\u00f3venes guerreros y doncellas vestidos a la usanza de los antiguos mayas; mujeres con ternos y el traje t\u00edpico de Quintana Roo; catrinas y j\u00f3venes con ropa confeccionada con material reciclable. Destaca entre \u00e9stas la Diosa del Ma\u00edz, con un vestido elaborado con totomoxtle, la hoja que abraza a la mazorca y que en algunas regiones se usa como envoltura del tamal o como forraje.
\nLa procesi\u00f3n acaba en el Parque Principal, donde de inmediato Blanca Merari empieza un recorrido por los altares, armados bajo tinglados de bahareque, de los cuales emanan el aroma a incienso y copal. Los hay de tres niveles, que representan a la Tierra, el cielo y el purgatorio, pero tambi\u00e9n de 7, cada uno de los cuales significa un paso que las almas deben dar para disfrutar del descanso eterno.
\nEn los altares est\u00e1n las fotograf\u00edas de los difuntos, flores, entre las que destaca el cempas\u00fachil, frutas de la temporada, los guisos y bebidas preferidos por el difunto, dulces y panes. No falta el t\u00edpico fog\u00f3n abierto de tres piedras, que representan el cielo, la tierra y el inframundo (xibalb\u00e1), sobre el cual se cuecen las tortillas hechas a mano. En un lugar especial, se asienta el mucbipollo, envuelto parcialmente en hoja de pl\u00e1tano.
\nCon emoci\u00f3n, la Presidenta Municipal elogia la originalidad de cada altar, cuya cuidadosa elaboraci\u00f3n es evidente, aunque cada uno con un toque personal.
\nQue no se pierda esta tradici\u00f3n, que por muchos a\u00f1os ha permanecido, a\u00f1ade. Eso depende en gran medida de nosotros, de lo que hagamos como comunidad y como autoridad para conservarla.
\nLuego de se\u00f1alar que el Hanal Pix\u00e1n es una tradici\u00f3n de vida, en la que se recuerda \u201ca nuestros ancestros, a quienes se nos adelantaron\u201d, Blanca Merari hizo un reconocimiento al personal de la Delegaci\u00f3n, la Direcci\u00f3n de Cultura y las Artes y a la Direcci\u00f3n de Servicios Generales que, con trabajo en equipo, hacen posible este tipo de eventos.
\nLa Alcaldesa, tambi\u00e9n presenci\u00f3, como parte del D\u00eda de Muertos Hanal Pix\u00e1n 2023, concursos de calaveritas literarias, al igual que de alebrijes, catrinas y catrines en las categor\u00edas baby, infantil, y libre y premi\u00f3 a los ganadores.
